Welcome to The French Polishing Company, we are a friendly, family run business, established for over 35 years, we offer our services to both residential and commercial clients. Working across London and the Home Counties we're happy to travel around the UK for large projects. Skilled in using traditional and modern finishing techniques, we're able to transform furniture, interiors and collector's items. We love repurposing and enjoy giving rescued furniture a whole new lease of life. Traditionally trained in the art of colour matching and custom staining - scratches, burns and ring marks magically disappear - all at affordable prices.
Andy has worked in the French Polishing trade for over 40 years, his expert knowledge and wide skill set is built on a solid foundation, having followed a traditional City and Guilds apprenticeship (back in the day when you had to study over three years and sit written exams). Andy is an award-winning medallist for his work and projects. Outside of work Andy loves singing with Wimbledon Community Chorus and in the shower. He enjoys long walks with our lovely Border Terrier, Tansy, and cooks up a storm in the kitchen.
