The 'Core (the important bit) is constructed of single species Plantation Hevea (Rubberwood). It doesn't grow naturally in South East Asia so is farmed for this purpose. As the Hevea tree nears the end of its rubber producing life it is felled and immediately replaced with a younger sapling that not only uses up more harmful CO2 but also produces more rubber. The Hevea used for the core of all our wood flooring has a density similar to Oak giving our floors unsurpassed stability in all different climates and environments.

Here at Spacers Tile and Wood Flooring we have spent the last decade forging good relationships with some of the best factories in China. The factories we use are at the cutting edge or Porcelain Tile manufacturing, using the most modern and efficient machinery in the industry. With a dry firing line in excess of a staggering 120 metres and press machinery providing 5000 tons of pressure this ensures the factory consistently produce high density, high hardness porcelain tiles that exceed both domestic and international standards.
