Solid wood not only offers strength and durability, but also the tactile sensation of it's natural wood texture. The use of hardwoods such as oak and walnut are common in solid wood flooring. It is a good insulator of heat and feels confident and strong underfoot. Each board of wood is engineeredfrom a single piece of timber that has been graded and machined with a ‘tongue and groove' on all sides for an accurate installation. Different finishes are available to help emphasise aspects of the woods naturalcharacter, highlighting the grain patterns, hues and rustic textures.

Primatex is a fantastic new range of authentic look wood and tile designs that are suitable for use all around the home or work place. This vinyl has a built in textile backing which reduces the need for subfloor preparation as well as providing enhanced thermal and acoustic insulation.

Within the home, ceramic tiles will wear as well as porcelain, are less dense and generally cheaper to buy. They are extremely tough yet aesthetically pleasing too - making them an ideal floor covering in busy households. If you opt for a ‘glazed' ceramic floor tile, you will have a floor covering that is perfectly suited to high moisture areas of your home (for example, the bathroom or kitchen).
