Calverts, a family owned furniture store was established in 1944. Over 70 years of successful trading have seen us grow from a small shop into the impressive 25000sq ft furniture store we are today. Through all this time we have retained the values of our founder. Your custom is valued and important to us! Should you see the same item at a lower price, either at another store or on an alternative website, then please inform us and we will do our very best to match the price. We also offer a 75% deposit!

We offer an exciting range of made to measure furnishings, including curtains, tiebacks, valences, pelmets, all styles of headings, scatter cushions, all styles of blinds, bedspreads and headboards. We stock a broad range of quality and trusted brands including Sanderson, Romo, Harlequin, Blendworth, Ado, G P & J Baker and Wemyss. Our bespoke service can help you furnish every room in your home, with hand made curtains, loose covers and upholstery. Once a fabric has been selected from our second to none range, we can measure and fit all your requirements.

Our carpet department has a huge selection of carpets from traditional woven Axminsters and Wiltons through to plains in velvet, heather and twist piles. Our rug department has a select range of handmade Indian, Turkish, Afghan and Pakistani rugs plus a large selection of machine loomed Wilton rugs. We also have a hard flooring section which includes woods, laminate and luxury vinyl flooring including: Rhinofloor, Halls flooring and Novilon.
