Stoneman and Bowker is an independent family run company which have been trading in Exeter for more than 50 years. Stoneman & Bowker starting our selling just carpets, but that was soon followed by introducing quality furniture, beds and a bespoke curtain service. Today we still offer a wide range of top British brands, as well as selected brands from around the world, from a large premises on Marsh Barton. We have a friendly sales team in store who are happy to field any request and use our own experienced delivery team to deliver throughout Devon.

Stoneman and Bowker has been selling flooring products for over 50 years, this is where we started the business making us one of Exeter's longest established independent stores. We supply and fit all kinds of floor coverings such as carpets Amtico, wood & vinyls in residential and commercial locations. We offer a measuring service where we can provide samples and discuss through any requirements giving expert advice. If you are unable to find the colour you are looking for from our extensive range of carpets, we can get it dyed to the colour of your choice we also can offer a bespoke bordering service.

Simply Interiors by J is a Soft Furnishings concession within the Stoneman & Bowker Store, selling curtain and upholstery fabric and blinds. Simply Interiors by J is owned and personally supervised by Joanna Webster who has over 30 years' experience of the trade, having started by assisting George Bowker (Stoneman & Bowker founder) with large contracts for pubs, restaurants, hotels and universities. In recent years, Joanna has focused on domestic installations and enjoys helping clients on a one-to-one basis with their interior design.

There are several different styles of window blinds, covering all shapes and sizes from brands including Luxaflex, which we are an 'Inspirational Dealer', this means we have a large range of display blinds in our show room for you to look at and see how they operate. We have a friendly knowledgeable trained team that can guide you towards the right blind for you whether it's for a small bathroom window or large bi folding doors, electric or manual no job is too big or small we are happy to help.
