Due to expansion of our successful manufactured joinery workshop we have an excellent opportunity for time served bench joiners to join our established team. The candidates must be able to work to a very high standard with the ability to set out, produce a high standard of work and have excellent attention to detail.

For many years, Batty Joinery has been involved in the manufacture, supply and installation of bespoke fitted furniture, not only in commercial offices, retail and public spaces, but also in impressive residential developments and refurbishments across the UK. Batty Joinery has supplied a vast range of custom made fitted furniture products to a host of shop fitters, contractors, and private and public clients. All the joinery is factory finished at our workshop prior to installation. We offer our expertise in the design stages based on individual client requirements, and working drawings are provided for approval before the furniture goes into production.

Softwoods are found all over the world and come in various qualities, durability and prices. Generally speaking, softwoods are used for construction, general and internal joinery, and joinery that is not needed for its aesthetic qualities. Softwoods can be as durable as hardwoods given the correct treatment and maintenance. Redwood, Pine and Douglas Fir softwoods grow faster than hardwoods, which makes them cheaper than hardwoods. For our joiners, softwoods are easier to work with and faster to process.

Hardwood can be challenging to work with, but the end product turns out to be far more visually pleasing. We work with various species of hardwoods on a regular basis, and use them in exterior doors and window sills to increase the products' lifetime and durability. Originating in American and Europe, White Oak and European Oak are widely available and can be sourced as FSC® certified. Oak is used in cabinet making and general joinery, and is commonly found in our grand design or heritage staircases.

We can supply our clients with a wide range of door specifications. Batty Joinery are licensed to supply modified Fire Doors with apertures to match all clients' specifications. We've manufactured and supplied all types of internal timber doors, front doors, garage doors, gateways, sliding doors, trapdoors and partitions. From basic primed flush doors through to the highest quality inlaid veneer or panelled doors, Batty Joinery has the solution to meet most commercial or residential applications.

Our offices and factory comprises 35000 ft² with the latest machines including an Accord 25 FX CNC giving us the cutting edge technology required to produce the highest standard of work. The business has over 150 years of experience in the joinery trade. Our workshop has a great mix of knowledge, skill and keen apprentices to ensure the quality of work remains consistent at all times.
