Camden Fires and Pine is a family run business, established in 1972. Our warehouse is based in Newcastle Upon Tyne - North Shields (close to the mouth of the River Tyne) in North East England. We sell and install a large range of Gas, Electric, Multi Fuel fires and stoves with many on live display in our warehouse showrooms, in addition, we stock hearths, marble fireplace sets and fire surrounds at competitive prices. We also stock a wide range of beautiful woodburners for a great cosy living space.
Camden Fires and Pine Limited, or Camden Fires, (as its name is usually shortened too), is a family run company established in 1972, whose showrooms are based in large warehouse premises, that date back over 200 year, and located in the centre of North Shields, about 8 miles from Newcastle upon Tyne. We specialise in the supply and installation of Stoves and Fireplaces in all their varieties, wood burning, solid fuel, also both gas and electric, we also offer a bespoke wooden fire surround service, and our showrooms feature an extensive range, including live displays.
Here at Camden Fires we pride ourselves in our level of aftercare for our customers. THIS IS MY TEXT MESSAGE TO THE OWNER, / BOSS of Camden, After the installation team came out the second time, and did not solve the problems, and that was only a small list of issues we have had with CAMDEN.
HE DID NOT REPLY, OR ACKNOWLEDGE MY TEXT.
SO I CALLED HIM ON THE MONDAY MORNING. HE DID NOT ANSWER MY CALLS NORE HAS HE CALLED ME BACK.
Shame I can not show the photos of the bad I’ll fitted work
However they do have some really rude girl at the shop that’s not qualified also to install stoves but will have an answer ready to argue with any problems you may have with your installation.and offer no help or concern at all

We had your lads installed 2 x multi fuel fire's
The installation was far from professional, we asked the lads to come back and fix the badly installed Fire plates, as the gaps were ridiculous and not to safety standards, all the heat would be lost in the chimney. Also didn't use heat resistant cement so all the cement dropped out first time we lit the fires,
They did not sweep the chimney prior to installing. I did explain to you we needed them to be sweeping as the fire places had been blocked up and newly opened, and you said they would do that. I also reminded them on the morning to sweep. I left the lads to go walk the dog, only to return to see them dragging the inner pipe up over my newly fitted gutter. And clear they had not sweep the chimneys After speaking with HETAS all chimneys are to be swept before installation.
We have a terrible smell in the bedroom every time we have the fire on so strong we can not sleep in the room.
I have talked about that with the girl in the shop. However Andy and her contradict each other she accused us of blasting in the Fire and damaging it and he told us we have to blast the fire to get rid of the smell.
So many other issues.
To text so I am letting you know if the smell is still present after the weekend I would like yourself to come see the job and hopefully resolve the problem please.

I can’t recommend Camden enough. I’ve had a new fire installed today and couldn’t be happier my dad had to see everything whilst I was at work and he said the guys who came were lovely. They even hoovered and helped him move my sofa back into position! It’s like nothing happened! Thanks Camden! Will definitely recommend you to friends

Fast efficient service on two occasions - high recommend.
I'm only giving Camden Fires five stars because I can't give them more. They arrived promptly, blocked off one free and put in a fire place all in the same day. They had to adapt the product I had bought independently, it wasn't an easy job in the least. The just got on with it, consulted us when needed and provided us with a fireplace which looks fantastic. Their attention to detail was unbelievable - believe me, if they'd have provided a second rate service, I would have left a scathing review - and the price was extremely reasonable. A huge thanks to Andy and Jordan who put the fireplace in. Needless to say, if you're looking to put a new fireplace into your home look no further than Camden Fires. I can't recommend them highly enough.
