We are a Registered Charity set up in 1981 to provide affordable re-used furniture, electrical appliances and household goods. We stock a wide range of items over three floors of our Loughborough showroom, including re-used furniture for home and also re-used office furniture for business use. Our furniture and electrical goods are donated by people or organisations who no longer have immediate need need of them, but who prefer them to be re-used rather than be neglected or sent to landfill. In 2012 we collected unwanted items from 776 households, helped 558 households with reduced price furniture, and stopped almost 81 tonnes of furniture and electrical items from ending up in landfill sites!

When I rented an unfurnished room, a visit to Sofa got me a huge desk and a lovely wooden bedframe (I was desperate not to have a metal one, as they've squeaked in the past), and they delivered it to my house as well! I love an excuse to root around in there, the variety of donations they get mean you're always going to find something good.
