English Oak Designs was created and is run by Ross Sledger. Ross is a second generation sawyer with 14 years experience in oak saw milling and who's family have been oak and softwood merchants since 1964. This experience includes a sizeable knowledge of sourcing english oak and importing oak from France, Belgium and Eastern Europe. Oak, due to its hardwood qualities, provides distinctive and beautiful characteristics that cannot be replicated in other building materials. Knowledge of the grading, seasoning and sourcing of oak is the backbone of quality handcrafted framing and joinery.
