Established in 1866 we are today one of the South West's leading garden centres and nurseries run by the sixth generation of our family, Charlie and Becky, who together oversee the running of both the main garden centre in Bridport and the smaller sister nursery Little Groves based in Beaminster. Although we also stock a very wide range of leisure and general gardening products, plus have a very well stocked pet shop, we are at heart a traditional nursery dedicated to producing top quality plants.

We are family business with a family business ethos to employment. Luckily, we have a very loyal team here at Groves and as such we don't often have situations vacant that we need to advertise. We are a business that's growing fast. We have a garden centre, nursery, restaurant as well as a supporting team in the office. We do a little bit of everything: retailing, marketing, purchasing, sales, IT as well as a whole load of horticulture! So, if you think you might be of use to us, aren't afraid of a bit of hard work and feel confident dealing with the great British public (yes, all roles require exceptional customer service) then we would love to hear from you.

We had a family brunch at the new Groves restaurant on Sunday. What a beautiful garden centre and fab setting. The food was hot and freshly cooked. Service was friendly and efficient. We are locals and will be visiting on a regular basis. Well done Groves. Very doggy friendly and great that dogs are welcomed in all the outside areas of the garden centre and restaurant.

Good garden center and lovely new cafe but we were not offered a menu and the boards behind the counter did not tell you enough about what food was on offer. Toilets really need updating

We used the new cafe/ restaurant yesterday for the first time. Nice building but what has happened to the food? Loads of burgers but no specials or soups like in the old cafe, why not? The meals were the attraction for us but now your cafe is just like any other fast food outlet, if I wanted a burger I would go to Mcdonalds. Shame.your chefs are better than that.!@@

What's new?

Fancy coming to work with us? We are looking for someone who shows exceptional customer service skills, attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure to come and join our team as a full time delivery driver.
