Nook Furniture Company is a family run business that has been based in the historic town of Stamford since 2001.

My BFG and I visited The Nook for the first time in mid December (rather than just admiring their window displays), when doing our Christmas shopping in Stamford, and thank goidness we did! It is a treasure trove, an emporium of enchanting and interesting, reasonably priced items. We found truly gorgeous presents for everyone, and every single thing delighted the recipients, from the larger gifts that were more than 30, to the exquisite little glass angel Christmas tree decorations. It gives us both the most enormous pleasure to find just the right presents for people, from the main ones, to the stocking fillers, and The Nook had a brilliant range of unusual stock, definitely not things that you would find all over the place, and they were beautifully displayed, which enabled us to get a lot of things in one lovely place. We aren't the world's greatest fans of crowded shopping centres and malls with their over loud piped music on a loop, and hordes of glassy eyed shoppers manically pushing past other people as their adrenalin levels soar while they pursue everything they think they need to create their perfect Christmas. We prefer a more leisurely, relaxed approach, and thoroughly enjoyed discovering all sorts of captivating items. We will certainly visit The Nook again in future, probably every time we go to Stamford. A lovely shop, with courteous polite helpful staff and great stock, a huge well-done to all involved.
