Since 1946 we have maintained a specialist family business. That's three generations offering practical and desirable home furnishing design solutions in Wrexham covering Chester, Wirral & North Wales. Our experienced craftsmen can redesign your existing furniture to suit your life styles or breathe new life into tired old sofas & chairs. Our commitment to the environment means old furniture need not end up in a landfill. At Price Brothers & Sons we can restore upholstered antiques to former glories and also offer bespoke curtain making and interior design.

Upholstery has been a tradition within the Price family for more than seven decades, spanning three generations. Price Brothers was founded in 1946 by my Grandfather, Gwillym and his brother Ernest Price. Both served their apprenticeships with Astons, who at that time were the leading furniture manufacturers in the area. On their return in 1945 they started their business in a lock-up shed at Pentre Felin, next to a leather tannery in Wrexham. Shortly afterwards they moved to our current premises in Pen y Bryn.

All work is skilfully carried out by Robert and Sean Price along with their specialist small workshop team. The team are time served craftsmen, specialising in both modern and antique re-upholstery utilising three generations of traditional upholstery techniques. When you love your furniture, but you can't bear to see the unsightly wear, re-upholstery can be the ideal solution. Sometimes the style and lines of your current furniture become so familiar that you just can't stand the idea of parting with your comfortable old sofa or chair.

At Price Brothers we believe the colour and style of what you put on your windows are important elements of the room. Our team will consider the style and period of the building when planning window furnishings. We'd begin by taking note of the existing interior colours and styles that you like and make sure that our proposals work well with these. Textures can play an important role in adding to your interior style. Shiny light-reflective fabrics help make a light and glamorous style, while soft, matt finishes will help create warmth and a cosy feel to the room.

NOTE: This course is aimed at the hobbyist upholsterer - it is not suitable for those seeking a career in upholstery. Thank you for taking an interest in my upholstery classes. I have worked in the upholstery trade for over 30 years. Price Brothers was established in 1946 by my Grandfather and his brother. Over the years I have been blessed with schooling second to none. Learning from both my Father and Grandfather, I hope to make your experience special and rewarding by introducing you to some of the traditional skills passed down to me through three generations of family upholsterers.

This shop is my little bit of heaven! Staff are lovely, polite and so helpful and the fabric bought is excellent quality. Will be back for more.

** Client Appointments ** Gentle reminder please - If you've booked an appointment to visit us. Remember we have set aside that time to solely accommodate you. "No shows" are frustratingly becoming a regular occurrence. Surely in these difficult times, with a pending Lockdown, common decency should shine through. So please let us know if you wish to cancel. We can then allocate that valuable time to someone else. Thank you.

*** Upholstery class update *** With Wales entering another Lockdown on 28th December, I'm afraid the classes will continue to be postponed until further notice. So I'm wishing all students a safe, healthy Christmas and a better 2021. But don't worry when the times right we'll be right back at it, after all - I've missed shouting at you all. Best regards, Sean.

When the Upholstery Gods are against you. No way will this 100 year old arm chair be restored in time for Christmas. Now you can see what we have to do inside the older pieces of furniture.
