Starting out as carpenters in 1986, we are now an independent, medium-sized firm that was first established by owner Tim Macdonald. Tim was a local carpenter based in Bridport and over the years has grown MAC Building to one of the area's largest independent and most experienced building contractors. We now employ 18 highly trained and qualified staff and as a business hold qualifications with The National Federation of Builders, CITB, Registered Fair Trades and Gas Safe, meaning we are able to work on any building or project, new or old, no matter how big or small.

Joinery & Carpentry has always been a major part of our business here at MAC Building Contractors, the finishing detail on all builds is very important to us, this is why we have our own team of highly trained and experienced joiners that work in our large purpose made joinery workshop with some of the latest high tech wood working equipment. All joinery work that leaves our workshop is made to our exacting high standards. Our skilled joiners welcome bespoke and unusual projects, including panelling, internal and external doors, beams and trusses.
