Working from our beautiful Victorian shop premises in historic Harrow on the Hill, London Building Renovation is a heritage building company, specialising in the conservation, restoration and renovation of period properties, especially those built during the 19th and early 20th century. London Building Renovation quietly works wonders with listed and conservation area properties. We have developed a highly skilled team of craftsmen over the last 20 years, with period relevant expertise in areas such as: - lime pointing, tuck pointing, rubbed and gauged arch work, replacement of stone details, leadworking, lime plastering, and the restoration and re-building of chimney stacks on period properties.

At London Building Renovation we care about the details. Over the past 20 years we have lovingly restored countless Victorian, and other period properties houses in Harrow on the Hill, as well as Edwardian mansion block flats in Marylebone, Kensington and Chelsea, schools in Northwood and Victorian cottages in Richmond. Whether you have a charming worker's cottage built in 1840, a grand townhouse, a wonderful mansion flat from 1910, or a church/school building built in the last 200 years, we can demonstrate a catalogue of restoration works carried out on all of these buildings.

Old buildings look wonderful, because they have worn and aged over the years. Time builds up a genuine patina that is not easy to replicate. If you were to replace every damaged brick on an old building and replace all the stone cills and details, you would end up with something that looked like a major house builder's Victorian pastiche. At London Building Renovation we have developed a way of working that aims to repair all structural work but leaves it looking as if no work has taken place. This ethos runs deep through the business.

At London Building Renovation we believe that we have a real point of difference from other builders; not just the fact that we have shop premises in historic Harrow on-the-Hill, nor that our workforce are qualified or are undertaking training to gain qualifications in their areas of skill, nor even the fact that architects won't let their clients use anyone else to carry out their build. It is our attention to detail, and caring about how you will use your home after building works, that sets us apart.

London Building Renovation is a member of the National Federation of Roofing Contractors. We have a small dedicated team of roofers, with the two skilled members of the team having their NVQ 3 in Roof Slating and Tiling. We specialise in slating and plain tile roofs and are keen to promote the benefits, both aesthetic and performance, of clay and slate. This focus on the two traditional types of roof covering, ties in with our general philosophy of correct period restoration. Continuing the theme of training and manufacturer accreditation, Kevin has also overseen and implemented acceptance as Velux VIP installers and approved installers of the Mustang seamless guttering scheme.

This terraced house presented an interesting challenge. Not blessed with an overlong garden, a large extension was out of the question. The clients required a high impact from their 3 m extension and wanted to use good quality materials. Read the case study on http:// www.londonbr.co. uk/2017/05/.
