Sean, Pete and Billy built our single storey, family room, kitchen and porch extension over a four-month period despite some very poor weather conditions. The building project was not straightforward, but they overcame any problems which arose and completed the work to a very high standard. We spoke with several builders while considering whether or not to extend our property with a single storey extension. Pete and Sean made a good first impression and were helpful, flexible and friendly during the several meetings that we had.
I employed S&P Hewitt to replace Fascias and Soffits, Gutters, Downpipes and re-clad the whole front of the house. They also replaced the roof of the porch. I can thoroughly recommend these builders. They are pleasant, polite and take pride in their work. In the summer of 2018, Pete and Sean completed a re-roof of our house, along with replacing the fascias, soffits and guttering. Getting a quote was easy, they listened to our request, heard our ‘vision' and were able to offer guidance and suggestions.
S & P Hewitt recently completed my loft conversion and the end result is two extra rooms with en-suite of the highest quality. Sean and Pete worked tremendously hard during the project and their experience in the trade shone through. They were professional, organised and very competitively priced. In September 2010 and after several false dawns we were finally able to proceed with our first floor side extension and loft conversion. Architect's plans and surveys had been completed, Council planning permission granted.
Sean and Pete started work on my conservatory and kitchen extension in mid January and as planned finished on time and by mid March. I can say I was very impressed by them both. Sean and Pete carried out a garage conversion, converting our cold and draughty garage and created a warm, light study and a spacious shower room. Sean and Pete establish a good working relationship with their client. They are friendly and approachable, well organised and reliable. Work commenced in September 2004 on the garage which was built to mirror the shape of the house which is a Grade II Listed Building. The garage was constructed using bricks to match the house and stone quoins that also mirrored the rear aspect of the property.
We engaged Sean and Peter Hewitt to renovate a traditional stone outbuilding adjacent to our house in Wingerworth. Historically, we believe that the property was part of a farm and in the past the outbuilding had been used as a stable. S & P Hewitt Construction have carried out a number of projects for us over the past 5 years. This includes New Builds, Conversions and Restoration Works. I have employed Sean and Pete on a few occasions with projects at my home, which on the first instance was concrete blockwork to a new build 50 x 35 foot agricultural type barn, various general building works to stone outbuildings and lastly, heritage type pointing to a large stone extension to my farmhouse.
