We like to specialize in Traditional Roofing, Slating, Pantiling and EPDM Rubber flat roofs, but we cover all aspects of roofing, from a single slipped tile to a major re-roofing project. Whether its Slates, Pantiles, Shingles/Shakes or Concrete tiles we can do them all with extreme confidence. My first experience with roofing was back in my school hoildays at the tender age of 14 and i use to go to work with my grandfather Reg Proctor ( senior ) for a bit of pocket money. Then upon leaving school at 16, I worked with him and his son Reggie Proctor ( junior ) for about 7 years and then entered the big wide world on my own!

Slate is a natural product to the geological areas from which they are mined and being a natural source of one of the earths materials it has got a built in barrier to the weather, it takes many years to wear down. If the slates have been correctly fitted from new they can litterally last a hundred years and more. Some of the re-roofs we have done in the past are now on their second or third time being used on the roof again. Normally a slate roof gets re-roofed anything fron 50 to 100 years after being installed from new, depending on the installation.

There are numerous variations of roof tiles available to purchase, different profiles, many colours to choose from, different sizes, different manufactures, but no matter how many variations they come in you can put roof tiles into two catergories, Clay tiles or Concrete tiles. Clay tiles are made from another one of earths ready made materials, Clay!. Therefore it's very hard wearing to the outside weather. There are two types of clay roof tiles, soft or hard. Soft clay tiles weather down quickly, so as to loose their new look apperance, where as on the other hand the harder clay tiles are the reverse of the soft tiles and keep their new apperance longer.
