Castium are established experts in the fields of; specialist cleaning, bio-security, decontamination, pharmaceutical hygiene, GMP cleanroom maintenance and commissioning. Castium were established in 2008 bringing together a management team of various backgrounds. Combining over 75 years specialist cleaning and decontamination experience within the life sciences/ biomedical industries with team members from food hygiene, cleanroom technologies, pharmaceutical production and healthcare. This combined experience and knowledge helped to provide bespoke decontamination programmes specifically tailored to the clients requirements.
Specialist deep cleaning: In most decontaminations a bespoke deep cleaning process is essential to expose the contaminant. Aerosol fumigation: Castium use ULV (ultra-low-volume) aerosol delivery systems, capable of producing droplets of less than 50 microns to disburse a variety of specialist chemicals. Hydrogen peroxide vapour: In order to successfully disinfect inside equipment, ductwork and hard to reach areas H2O2 vapour (VHP) provides a 6 log Geobacillus kill in challenging locations. Ethylene oxide (EtO): The ultimate form of decontamination, EtO sterilisationis a chemicalprocess consisting of four primary variables: gas concentration, humidity, temperature and time.
Castium have built their reputation through providing start-up sterilisation programmes for some of the UK and Europe's leading production, research and development facilities. By working with vapour decontamination companies Castium created a deep cleaning programme to ensure any gaseous bio-decontamination is successful. Without an accurate validated service a facility could be falling at the first step. By working with the client it is important to create a service that not only achieves the correct standard but also meets the clients timelines.
