DCET Training

Candidates must be either experienced oil operatives, or Gas Safe registered heating systems operatives. Candidates must either already hold the 600a qualification, or take it alongside this assessment. It is recommended that new entrants to the oil industry undertake the OFT 50 course first. Any candidate undertaking the individual appliance assessments must hold an appropriate industrial/commercial core gas safety qualification or relevant changeover qualification. Please see details below. For Gas Safe registered installers (who have been registered for a minimum of 6 months) without the pre-requisites, we offer a training course to enable installers to undertake commercial gas assessments. Matthew Bastyan is the first person in the country to have achieved a Distinction through the Lantra end point assessment in the Level 2 Arborist standard. Matthew said I am extremely chuffed to have completed the apprenticeship with a Distinction. I enjoyed the course and have learnt a lot that has driven me to learn more and develop in the field of Arboriculture. Buckfast Abbey have said of Matthew's achievement, We are delighted that Matt he has passed his Arborist's apprenticeship with a distinction, no more than he deserves for all his hard work.
