Cold Start

Coldstart was established in 1992 and was originally based around the refrigerated transport industry. Two partners started the business as engineers working from home with 2 vans. The business expanded and the workforce increased to 4 engineers and then in 2001 relocated to premises in Nottingham with a half-acre site on Little Tennis Street South. The new workshop with land was ideal and meant that trailers and vans could be brought into the yard for maintenance and repairs. The workforce increased and in 2005 a new additional workshop was built to enable us to cater for our van conversion section.

Our engineers are experts in installing, servicing and repairing a wide variety of transport refrigeration systems from all the leading brands including GAH, Hubbard, Carrier, Eberspcher, Thermo King, Zanotti and Schmitz Cargobull. We provide 24-hour breakdown assistance and our service vehicles carry a wide range of parts and equipment to maximise the chance of the problem being fixed at the scene.

Coldstart are authorised agents and regional dealers for Foster Refrigerator parts and equipment. Our engineers are fully trained to carry out service and repairs on blast chillers, cold rooms, walk-in chillers, beer cellars and ice machines. The proper refrigeration of your produce is vital to allow you to keep food and drink both fresh and safe for consumption, as well as prolonging the shelf-life of fresh produce.
