Nestled in a picturesque rural setting this cosy botany inspired Parlour and Garden Room is filled with planting and dramatic shafts of light which allow the environment to transform throughout the day. Newman Gauge recognised that the quality of food was at the heart of this development and that the Client had a passion for delivering a true gastro experience.

The successful creation of a glass extension within the castle walls to house the key public spaces required an in-depth knowledge of our Clients guest expectations. The concept focuses on 'bringing the outdoors inside'. The new Reception, Lounge and Restaurant is bright and contemporary yet the placement of fixtures and furnishings help achieve the prime goal of creating a relaxed and comfortable environment for their guests. Bodelwyddan Castle is a Listed Building, all internal finishes were specified with consideration to the existing surroundings and were subject to review by English Heritage.

Newman Gauge delivers a creative solution to increase covers and revenue for this iconic pub in the spectacular location on the banks of the River Test. This comfortable and cosy Country Pub has a natural character that Newman Gauge have enhanced and enlarged. The scheme consolidates extensive back of house areas allowing the public drinking area to extend into the former cellars. Feature working fireplaces have been reinstated and original finishes exposed to celebrate the authenticity that many pubs aspire to.
