SWD offers two levels of high security doors which are made to order and are the most advanced front door solution on the market today. Made up of a reinforced steel core with 12mm panels either side, these doors have all the features of a timber door plus the benefits of a steel door which included burglary resistance, fire resistance, noise reduction, thermal, water and wind insulation. The inside of the door is insulated with rockwall giving U-Values of 1.3 and sound insulation up to 45dB. High security external doors can be fire rated up to 120 minutes and produced in bespoke sizes as large as 4000x2000mm for a single leaf.

We have our own bespoke joinery service which will allow continuity throughout your project by creating joinery and bespoke wardrobes to match or complement our exceptional range of doors. SWD offer site surveys for all of our products, in which we measure the openings and assess the exact requirement, taking full responsibility. SWD Bespoke internal doors are made from trusted European factories and our external high security doors are made in the UK. All of our doors are made to order and we are proud to be able to offer faster lead times on all of our bespoke doors than many other companies. Most of our solid core door leafs & prehung door-sets take around 8-10 weeks for the manufacture and delivery of them. Please bear in mind that deliveries may fluctuate depending on the time of year, especially in August and December when there are factory shutdown periods.

Bi-folding or even tri-folding doors are an ideal way of being able to close or open two adjoining rooms if the structural opening is too wide for a set of double doors. As well as the functionality part of it, they also serve as an aesthetical contribution to the overall dcor. You can choose any of our door models to be made into bi-folding doors, in any stain or finish. The doors that are attached to the frame should only have good quality, strong hinges. As these will be supporting the weight of 2 doors, the frames or jambs should be made from at least 32mm hardwood and definitely not softwood or MDF.
