As a family business Southern Comfort Furniture was established in 1962. Over 50 in the industry, we are specialists in Reproduction English furniture and produce the full range of English cabinets in Mahogany, Yew, Cherry, Oak, Burr Elm, Burr Walnut and Poplar. We supply the full range of furniture from Office / Living and Dining / Occasional to the specialist Contract Furniture that we also offer. We are able to produce flat fronted cabinets in a wide range of veneers to your own designs and specifications.
Southern Comfort offers a wide selection of reproduction display cabinets that is available in Mahogany, Yew, Cherry, Oak, Burr Elm, Burr Walnut or Poplar. All of our display cabinets have plain bevelled glass doors and are available in a selection of sizes. As a manufacturer of quality English reproduction furniture, we have the facilities to offer bespoke furniture to our customers. We are able to work to your own designs and veneers. In house we have the facilities to offer a full range of cabinets, you can see below some examples of pieces we have made to our customers own specifications. This coffee table was made using a curl mahogany veneered top with cross banded edging and a fan marquetry inlay. The legs have been reeded and there is a bottom shelf below.
Southern Comfort offers a wide range of reproduction upholstered leather desk chairs to match our desks, filing cabinets and cabinet furniture. All of our reproduction desk chairs are traditionally handmade in England and we only use single stud nailing and provide gas lift action as standard. We also manufacture a lot of our frames in house offering greater efficiency and reliability to our customers.
The Royal Wing Chair is a poplar chair to go alongside our Chesterfield Sofas and are available in a choice of wood finishes and leathers. The Tub Chair is a poplar contract or occasional chair and is available in a choice of wood finishes and leathers.
Southern Comfort offers a wide collection of English reproduction dining chairs in Yew and Mahogany finish (other finishes are available on request). All of our dining chair frames are solid beech. We offer a standard collection of 'Regency Stripe' and 'Faux Silk Velvet' fabrics. If required we can supply the seats with Calico to be covered in your own chosen fabrics, or you can supply your own fabric for upholstery. Leather options are also available. This chair is solid beech and can be coloured to match any of our tables or cabinet furniture.
