The Door Store is a Scottish door supply, door manufacturer and door fitting company with showrooms in Glasgow and Ayr. The Door Store supply doors throughout Scotland and the North of England. The Door Store: supply doors, supply and fit doors, stain doors, glaze doors, supply handles, supply hinges. With over 10,000 doors in stock we are confident we have what you want.

As a door manufacturer in Scotland, The Door Store pride ourselves on working with as many local companies as possible. We aim to source as much of the materials for our doors within Scotland and the larger UK as possible and only turn to providers abroad to get the best materials and keep the costs down for our customers. We have a comprehensive range of internal and externals doors on offer to suit every requirement for your home. External doors include uPVC styles as well as wood and composite while our internal door range is very large.

When you are considering a set of new doors for your home, there are lots of considerations that come into the decision making process. The style of the door, colour or material even the handles and hinges. But most of us opt for a straight forward door style that swings open. However, there is another option that can solve a lot of problems - sliding doors. Sliding doors can be used for external doors such as French doors or patio doors as well as in various places inside the house. One of their biggest benefits is that they don't need an area to swing open, rather sliding against a wall or window.

Wooden doors have long been the choice for homes and businesses around the country and while uPVC may have come to overtake them in popularity in recent years, these styles still have a lot going for them. Wooden doors in Glasgow are popular on a wide range of properties including tenements and other period housing, through to modern properties. But why go with wood? For starters, wood has a natural look that no manmade material has yet been able to quite mimic. Certainly, it looks more natural than the stark whiteness of uPVC and if you live in listed or conservation areas, wood may be your only choice.

The Door Store's French doors/patio doors come in a wide range of sizes, custom made to suit your needs. We offer a staining service so you can choose your own colour, which we then stain before glazing.

This is why The Door Store offer a service to our customers that includes this tricky job. Rare is the time when a door is an exact replacement for a previous door with the same fittings and exactly the same size. It may be that you are changing carpets as well and the new carpets mean even the old door doesn't fit correctly. The process starts with getting the perfect fit of the door and this can involve cutting it. Once the door is the perfect size then hinges are fitted to the frame. If they don't match up with the old ones, then new recesses need to be cut to install them.

Replacing the skirting boards in your home is one of those awkward and time consuming jobs that almost comes under the skills of a good DIY-er but is also a lot of work. Removing the old ones and replacing them with smart new ones has a big impact on the look of the room and can even add to the resale potential of a property if you are selling it. Skirting boards are normally removed then the wall behind them is prepared. This can involve finding and removing old nails or other fixings and repairing the damage to the wall.

We offer no obligation quotes for all of our paint stripping, so if you want to do away with the cycle of door painting - give us a call? We can pick up doors throughout Scotland.

The Door Store's composite doors come in a large range of sizes, we can supply and fit all our doors with a complete new frame, handles, hinges, locks and weather bars etc. We can also stain your door and frame. Our estimator will call out and give you a free estimate that will take about 5 to 10 minutes of your time, with no obligation.

Door store fitted all my door in both my previous house and my current home. I basically measured my doors the staff helped me choose from a wide selection of doors and with her extensions knowledge in her job made it so easy. I was then given a date for fitting. The joiners came in fitted all my doors and cleaned up any mess they made all in a morning. The service was fast, professional and hassle free and I would recommend this company to everyone.
