We were asked late during the design stages to provide a solution to deliver potable water to the kitchen taps, ovens, ice machines and coffee machines. This is a critical system as without potable water the kitchen and shop are unable to provide food or drinks. There were a number of challenges to overcome including the positioning of the water tanks, the available space envelope and the quality of the water after it has been in the tank. Working with Alstom Transport we sourced, designed and fabricated a system that is capable of lifting water from the tanks then processing it to a standard suitable for drinking.
