I strive to create furniture exuding warmth, beauty and soul. Every piece is a chapter in our short lives with a story of its own. From our first meeting to handing over your piece of furniture we are focused on bringing you a piece that will delight and inspire you. We built the woykshop inside an old warehouse on the wharves in Falmouth. With our stunning views across the river, it is an inspirational setting in which to work. I normally have an assistant working with me and have been very lucky to have some very talented makers helping me with my pieces and sharing the passion.

Commissioning a piece of furniture can be daunting, but really is quite a straightforward process and should be enjoyable. These simple steps are a guide to how your piece will come to be. Every commission, every client and every piece of wood is different, and so we adapt the process to suit. To begin the design process we need to establish a brief. The brief can be vague, leaving the creative side to me, or you may have very specific ideas about what you want. We can meet for an initial discussion in the "Woykshop" or perhaps better, at the intended location for the piece of furniture.

Established in 1995, we have built up a reputation for producing superb furniture. With a passion for wood, and respect for fine making skills, I take a long term approach to the business. I enjoy working with clients to fulfil their needs and exceed their expectations. Wood is central to what we do. I love it for all its beauty and variety and am never happier than when climbing stacks of timber at one of my suppliers, looking for some delicious boards from which to make your piece. For me, visiting a good timber yard is like going to a quality delicatessen.

What's new?

To any of my friends looking for some storage. We made this piece some years ago for my photographer friend to store his camera equipment, and he is now looking to pass it on for less than the cost of the materials. Would be really useful for workshop storage or even in the home.

Always overcome with reverence when I see the work of Margaret MacDonald, the lesser known wife of Charles Rennie Mackintosh, who reputedly admitted "Margaret has genius, I have only talent." Macdonald's work became one of the defining features of the Glasgow Style.
