Chimneys can leak for a variety of reasons such as faulty flashing, cracked flaunching/chimney cowl or deteriorated pointing. Most chimney problems are easily resolved but if left can cause further damages to other areas of the roof. This repair was completed in London, the top of the chimney stack was cracked and allowing water to get in. We stripped off and re-bedded the flauncing around the chimney pots and raked out and repointed the brickwork.

The area covered by soffits is not exposed to the weather and so wood is often used to make soffits. However, wood will take in some of the moisture in the air, and over time will warp and distort. Replacing timber fascias and soffits with UPVC is a common job as the UPVC is much easier to maintain as you will only need to wipe it down, instead of sanding back and painting the timber boards.

Longevity is one of the most attractive features of slate roofing. Being a natural stone, it is more durable than any man-made material and it's high density makes it waterproof. A slate roof will also not be affected by fungus or mould and so makes for a practically maintenance free roof allowing you to have peace of mind, without having to spend extra cash on expensive maintenance or repairs. It is available in a variety of colours, thicknesses, shapes and sizes and regardless of it's age will maintain its distinctive appearance.

One of the most popular materials used in the UK, traditionally made from locally available materials such as terracotta or slate though modern materials such as concrete and plastic are also used. We can provide a full range of clay and concrete tiles to match any colour, locality or roofing budget. We are able to offer you a manufacturers guarantee on all new tiled roof installations, the length of the guarantee will vary depending on the materials used.

Torch-on felt - A three-layer system consisting of a base layer fixed to the roof, followed by a torch on underlay and then finally a torch on cap layer. All layers are melt-welded onto the roof surface and each other using a blowtorch to create an impenetrable water tight seal. We are able to off you a 15 year manufacturers guarantee on all new felt roof installations. GRP/Fibreglass - This method consists of 3 core materials, a resin, fibreglass matting and a topcoat. Applied directly on to secured OSB boards, the resin and fibreglass are bonded together, creating a solid fibreglass material.

Roof windows are often a good option when there is a desire to allow both light and fresh air into the space. Windows come in different shapes and sizes and colours depending on your specific requirements and to compliment your house. Please see the below before & after images of Velux skylight windows we have fitted. The old windows were causing continuous leaks due to cracks glass, broken flashings or the joints and seals being brittle. We replaced them with brand new Velux windows & flashing kit.

If you've discovered a leak, it doesn't necessarily mean you need to replace your roof. Most smaller issues can be resolved with a repair such as slipped/ cracked tiles, loose cement in the valleys, verges or ridge. A repair will be more cost effective in the short term however will not be as long lasting and unfortunately, we are unable to guarantee any repair works. Here are 2 repair jobs we completed in the summer, we stripped out the entire valley and existing valley trays, before renewing with brand new fibreglass valley tray and renewed any damaged tiles.

Lead has been used in roof construction for centuries, due to its superb malleability and low melting point. It can be moulded to any shape, is highly resistant to corrosion and non-combustible, making it ideal for all roofing applications. This job was completed in 1 day, we stripped off the old existing lead as it had become brittle and had cracks throughout, allowing water to get in behind the chimney stack. We replaced it with brand new Code 4 lead, re-wedeged and finished with sand and cement joint.
