As a local boy from Hartland, Tim Hookway was always destined to be a farmer. However he soon found out it was the machinery rather than the crops and animals that interested him. It was this and his love of motorsport that encouraged him to be a Peugeot Master Technician for just under a decade, a highly successful rally driver, and for his team at Roundswell - TJH Motorsport - to win the 24-hour race at Silverstone year after year. Being very competitive is in Tim's blood, so it wasn't long before he realised he could provide a better service than any other garage in the Barnstaple area, so he set up his own garage services in 2000.
Just rang them at 11:44 on a Saturday because my car was leaking oil at an alarming rate. Got my car to them at 12:00. By 12:20 I was heading home after they had ordered a new oil switch, received delivery of said switch and fitted it! They had also topped up my oil. Fabulous service. Would definitely recommend.

I have received excellent service from the guys at TJH on two occasions now. I first used them for new tyres and while I was waiting I was impressed with the general vibe of the place and the way customers were spoken too on the phone etc. I chose them to fix my brakes last week and will continue to use them in the future. I can highly recommend the others do too.
Customers with campers - after recent announcements you might be looking to plan a trip away, and we would strongly advise you to have your van checked over before you travel. We are seeing a lot of brake issues due to lack of use, so beat the rush and get your van checked now!
