The Green Homes Grant launched on the 30th September. It is a government-funded voucher scheme designed to help with the installation of energy efficiency measures on homes in England to reduce energy bills and carbon emissions. The voucher of up to 5,000 will cover up to two thirds of the cost of some energy-saving home improvements. Some homeowners on qualifying benefits can get a voucher for up to 10,000 towards the cost of these home improvements. The technologies that we install under the Green Homes Grant are Air Source Heat Pumps and Solar Thermal.

Solar Thermal Energy is an efficient and reliable water heating solution. A typical installation takes only two days and the system will run the average household hot water demand for about 7 months of the year, plus support the hot water demand through the remaining winter months. For both home owners and businesses such as swimming pools, hotels and campsites significant savings can be achieved with a solar thermal system. Solar water heating works by harvesting the sun's energy via "collectors" fitted to your roof.

Underfloor heating is the very best way of heating a room. It provides a "quality" of heat that is difficult to explain until it has been experienced. Most customers who have underfloor heating would not entertain the idea of going back to radiators. The first is an in-screed or in-slab wet-piped system. This system distributes the heat from a heat pump or other heat source through pipes embedded into the floor structure. It provides a very good and even distribution of heat. It is the preferred solution for new-builds or extensive renovation projects where the entire floor will be created from scratch.

Heat pumps offer a highly efficient and environmentally friendly way of heating your home through radiators or underfloor heating. We only work with the best quality systems from the top manufacturers to ensure longevity, value for money and excellent aftercare service. Generally recognised as the leaders in the industry, Daikin, Panasonic and Mitsubishi all offer top quality heatpumps that H2-ecO are proud to supply, install and maintain. Heat Pumps - What Are they and how do they work? Air source heat pumps work by absorbing the heat from the air outside, this heat can then be used to heat your home through radiators, underfloor heating or warm air convectors.

Battery storage has long been the Holy Grail of renewable energy generation. Never compromising on the service or products that we promote, we have waited until a genuinely viable product was developed. This has now come in the form of Tesla Powerwall 2. H2ecO are Tesla Certified Installers & Powerwall experts. We offer a premium installation, support, and advice service to help you make the best decisions for your home or business energy needs. Combining solar with a Powerwall will enable you to reduce your bills and become less dependent on the national grid for energy.

Solar power is the environmentally friendly way of generating electricity that is accessible to almost everyone, domestic or commercial. Energy costs are rising all the time and our planet desperately needs carbon emissions to reduce to zero as quickly as possible. Solar PV is one of the most accessible and reliable ways of helping achieve those goals. How does Solar Power work? The energy from the sun is collected by the panels we mount on the roof or ground and is converted into DC electricity (the type that comes out of a battery).
