Continental Fireplaces

First impressions are important when taking the first step by contacting Continental for an enquiry. Quite simply a pleasure to work with such knowledgeable, reliable and friendly people. We wanted to replace an oil fired Aga-type cooker with an electric version and add a small wood-burning stove into our kitchen.

Our business started in Church Stretton, South Shropshire, in the early 1990s primarily importing glass-fronted woodburning fires & stoves from Holland & Spain. In those days, clear glass technology was a novelty in the UK and burning wood on grates in open fireplaces was commonplace. Living flame gas fires soon followed and by 1995, Continental opened its showroom & offices on the A49 trunk road which continues in the forefront of modern technology to the current day. The aim of our business is to provide the client with the best possible choice of product to suit every application.

The livery on our fleet of metallic grey vehicles describes Continental as a "Specialist Contractor with a Showroom" and this statement emphasizes the importance given to the pursuit of excellence by our installation team. Unlike many of our competitors who rely on sub-contract tradesmen, we cover the majority of skills within our own workforce, leaving normally only electrical work requiring outside assistance. A high level of cover is maintained to ensure that both our customers property and our own employees are protected during the course of all installation projects.
