Tim James
Tim James is widely considered one of the UK's top experts in PAT Testing. He began conducting PAT Testing in 1986, while working as a technician at a large secondary school, and it has remained a significant part of his work since then. He has held positions in local government, central government, and with Trading Standards. In 2003, he founded a commercial PAT Testing company, which grew from a two-person operation to a large organization employing many PAT Testing engineers. He established PAT Testing Expert in 2009 and has since provided high-quality PAT Testing training to numerous universities, colleges, the BBC, major industrial companies, and hundreds of individuals across the UK and Europe. Additionally, Tim serves as Standards Director for the PATTA, a professional association of PAT Testers focused on elevating industry standards and reputation.

This course gives everything you need to become a competent PAT Tester there are other courses that offer a City and Guilds qualification I have done that course and utterly failed I think they are more aimed at people who are electricians but if you do this course you will be a fully qualified PAT Tester thanks Tim

Tim is an extremely good communicator, didn't rush and answered every query. The PAT testing course its self in well run and flows well.

I attended a PAT testing course in Southampton last month, and while Im an electronic engineer and appreciate the concepts, I found this course invaluable because of Tims excellent knowledge, detailed and relevant documentation, and anecdotes on his experiences as a PAT tester. There is also a lot of practical scenarios to galvanise the knowledge. I now feel confident to PAT test at work and at the repair cafe where I volunteer. This course comes highly recommended

I recently attended Tims one day PAT testing course at Exeter and as someone new to PAT testing I cannot recommend it highly enough for giving a thorough practical based grounding of the PAT process, in addition the course materials you are given, and follow up emails are incredibly thorough and well presented. But for anyone thinking its just for beginners, on my course were a number of existing PAT testers from a large company who send their staff PAT testers on Tims course to serve as a refresher as it is so highly regarded in the industry.
