Here at Orlestone Oak everything we do starts from the very beginning with a freshly felled oak tree. We then process the tree differently depending on the product we are producing whether it be beams, joinery, cladding, decking or flooring. We have a huge advantage by controlling this entire process as it allows us to be very selective making sure each tree is used for the most suitable product, meaning a higher quality product and less wastage. Our team of highly skilled staff follow age old methods when producing our range of products.

The company was started over 60 years ago and has flourished and grown ever since. We have gone from producing mostly mining timber to producing some of the finest wood work available today. We are proud of our past and constantly strive for a better future. We now produce a wide range of Oak joinery, cladding, decking and sawn timber. We value the environment and always make sure there is an effort to minimise the impact on it. We have an extremely low waste outlet and make sure we have uses for everything.

Our Solid oak flooring is manufactured from start to finish by our team in Kent. We begin by selecting the tree's suitable for flooring production then once cut we air dry and kiln dry before machining them. There is a range of grades, widths, lengths and colours to choose from meaning a finish to suite all environments from modern to traditional and light to dark. All our finishes are applied by hand meaning we overlook every stage of the flooring production.

Orlestone oak use only traditional tried and tested methods when building our windows. They are all made using mortice and Tenon joints that are wedged together. We work out of our joinery shop based in the Ashford Kent and produce windows for clients all over the world. We can provide detailed quotes and are happy to conduct site surveys. We make both oak and painted hardwood or softwood windows and joinery. All our windows are made to measure and we encourage the client to be involved in the design process to ensure they receive exactly what they are looking for.

All our doors are made to order by hand to suite the customers needs. We can design doors from scratch or use previous styles. Regardless of this they are all done using the most traditional methods and joints coupled with the most secure and upto date locks and hinges. We produce doors that are part Q compliant so suitable for both period and new build properties. There are no corners cut when we produce a solid oak door we select the most suitable timber for the job incorporating more characterful sections for traditional door and cleaner sections for modern oak doors.

Orlestone oak design and manufacture all our hand crafted joinery we cut no corners when producing all our products. Everything we do is to the highest standard using traditional techniques such as mortice and tennon joints with wooden wedges. We offer a range of joinery such as doors, windows, staircases, Kitchens and more. All of which is assembled by hand.

Orlestone Oak range of traditional cladding consists of Feather edge, Wayney edge, Slabwood cladding and square cladding. It is all produced fresh from the tree on site here in Kent. Our experienced team select the correct timber for cladding production when sawing a tree. Available in Oak, Larch and Douglas fir there is a good choice of look and texture to choose from.

Orlestone oak offer a range of traditionally crafted garages and cart sheds. These can be used for various uses and will compliment any house. We have standard designs however they can be tailored to your needs as all of our buildings are made by hand bespoke.

Orlestone oak have a huge range of colours available to choose from ranging from traditional darker colours such as Fiddes medium to modern contemporary looks such as Treatex slate. All our finishes regardless of the brand or look are applied by hand in our workshop in Kent by skilled craftsmen. We also do any of the distressing or ageing in the same workshop by the same craftsmen meaning consistency throughout. Our engineered flooring is carefully sourced from manufacturers who support our same values of high quality and sustainability. European oak or Quercus Robur has grown around the British Isles and throughout Continental Europe for thousands of years. It has long been a vital building material with countless uses not least of which as construction beams, weatherboarding and cladding. Orlestone oak have been milling oak for between 50 and 60 years and when sourcing our oak, we are very particular on the trees we will take in their raw form, this allows us to ensure consistent quality throughout our product range. We only use timber from sustainable sources and work closely with the forest owners in the United Kingdom and throughout Europe to ensure we know where our trees are sourced.

Orlestone Oak produce and stock a range of flooring products including both solid and engineered in an array of widths, lengths and finishes. The Grand flooring range features widths up to 400mm wide and lengths up to 6m long. All our flooring is finished on our site in the heart of Kent by skilled craftsmen ensuring the very best quality. The solid Oak flooring range is our range of solid oak boards again also produced from scratch on site in Ashford Kent. We follow the same tight guidelines as we do for the grand however this range consists of flooring suitable for almost every room.

We have managed to take delivery of tree's whilst maintaining safe distance and contact free transaction. One 2 members of staff where in and around 30m apart but this means we have stock to return to so we can begin cutting as soon as it is safe to do so.
