Brown Earth was set up in 2002 by Claire Reading (PSGD Dip.) and is based in Perthshire, working throughout Scotland. Claire uses her natural eye for design and intuitive use of plants and materials to consistently produce the highest quality garden design work for a variety of clients. Brown Earth Landscapes is proud of its fresh, innovative and elegant approach to garden design, making the most of the challenging climate to create gardens to enjoy all year round. Claire has a wealth of experience from working on a Silver Medal winning garden at the Chelsea Flower Show in 2004 to creating the organic potager garden at The River Cafe in London and running Brown Earth as a busy garden design and build service in Edinburgh before moving to Perthshire with her family.

Our approach to landscaping in Scotland is focused on creating something special for you; something that combines your dreams and our visions. Whether you have a small space or large, whether you have a clear idea of what you want or only a vague notion, whether we're repairing an existing garden or planning something new, we'll work with you to create perfection. Back gardens can be cosy or sizable, contemporary or traditional, formal or informal.
