Easylawn was established 30 years ago and was more recently purchased by brothers James and Paul in 2002, as part of a strategy to diversify away from traditional agricultural enterprises. Since 2002 we have more than doubled the size of Easylawn; successfully adding to our list of both professional and public customers including domestic gardeners, landscapers, property developers and retail outlets nationwide in the UK. We are particularly proud to have retained all our top customers from 2002 that are still trading with us, as well as adding more new clientele over these years.

Easylawn take their environmental responsibility very seriously and convey this through our daily practice. Government Requirements: The Environment Agency give strict guide lines on water extraction in order to maintain river flows and limit the impact on wildlife. The water Easylawn use is monitored and recorded by a senior member of staff in order to satisfy government legislation. Easylawn work closely with the Environment Agency over summer periods this is done to ensure that any abstraction points are above the legal flow rates.

These are only 10 interesting facts about turf; there are lots more we could name. Turf can have a significant impact on reducing carbon and these facts show the importance of grass in general and how it can benefit our environment and planet.

Mowing your newly laid turf should only start when the roots have taken firmly into the soil - about 2.5 cm. You can check the root growth by turning back a corner of lawn to see how well they have taken root. Normally mowing can start around three to four weeks, and up to six weeks, after you have laid the turf. Mowing is a stress to turf so it is best to only mow your lawn when it is truly ready, dry, and remember to only use sharp blades to cut the grass neatly and effectively - blunt blades damage lawn.

Continue to mow regularly as weather conditions dictate. If the weather comes dry, it is beneficial to raise the height of your mower and to consider watering in the early morning or late afternoon - this will give the best results if there is a prolonged dry period. Spike your lawn if the surface.
