The original Urban Jungle Norfolk opened on Ringland lane, Costessey in 2001 and flourished as an exotic garden centre with so much more to offer ever since. In 2005, we added to the already unique customer experience and opened a small self-service coffee area - now Caf Jungle; a thriving 30 cover coffee shop serving a variety of home-made, local, seasonal produce. The Caf houses an enormous selection of beautiful houseplants, a growing trend that's showing no sign of slowing. We were thrilled to open a second Urban Jungle Garden Centre and Caf in Suffolk, on 5th August 2017, offering everything Urban Jungle customers love about the Costessey location, and more.
Love this place. Went yesterday with a friend over from Jordan and she loved it too! I've been coming here on and off for the last three years. Four Plants bought here two years ago are thriving - even in containers - and often get complimented especially the dwarf chusan palm. New car park at the front is an improvement. Love the coffee choices and new cafetires keeping the coffee hot. Lemon and ginger cake was light and tasty. Bought a beautiful fern - polystichum setiferum - to add to my collection of container plants. Just love all the exotic plants and jungle environment, the koi pond and lovely staff. Will rate you 5 stars when the new toilet facilities are available.
Such a little find, tucked away this is a amazing garden centre on another level. How it's set out you'd never actually realise it's a business, sitting among the huge variety of plants having drinks and food, a real experience with wooden bridge a massive koi even kiddies were enjoying being at a garden centre. All the staff were so upbeat and friendly even compost toilet was a novelty. Food was very tasty, ( only negative 2.95 for coleslaw a bit steep) tea was very moreish. Highly recommended and will be good back again very soon.
A proper Norfolk querky place to visit. Full of amazing plants at surprising reasonable prices. The cafe serves simple but great food and proper tea. Will be making this a regular place to bring our friends and family to when they visit our beautiful county.
Can a flower be beautiful and grotesque at the same time? We think so. Take Dracunculus vulgaris, the dragon arum. Its enormous flower, often described in botanical books as being the colour of liver, will stop you in your tracks. The odour is powerful, and is likened to a rotten corpse (nice).

Winter protection. Well it's a bit colder than we thought it would be and we have -6 forecast tomorrow night. It's not the end of the world but we thought it wouldn't hurt to give our tree ferns a little more protection. They already had straw stuffed in their crowns but some bubble wrap, parcel.
