Requiring a locksmith immediately, I rang the number I found on Google and a chap called Danny answered. I was very satisfied to hear that he would be here within a couple of hours. On arrival, Danny certainly knows what he's doing as he had the door stripped down in seconds, made a call to check the relevant parts were in stock, told me the price and left to collect them. Danny returned, installed the new parts and re-built the doors' entire locking system and mechanisms. The door is now as good as new, I couldn't be happier with such speedy and efficient service more so, and its extremely refreshing to deal with tradesmen who charge a such a reasonable amount rather than fleece customers who are in the middle of a crisis. Danny is worth his weight in gold and I cannot recommend him highly enough.
