We supply and install bespoke timber doors of the highest quality. Whether the door of your dreams be period or contemporary, our expert team will work with you to create a handcrafted door that is elegant, cosy and secure. We offer a twelve-year guarantee on all our Accoya doors, so you can be confident that your new door will stand the test of time.

The contemporary front doors we make at Cotswood are constructed with same high-quality traditional techniques we use for all our period doors, but with a modern look and finish. A typical contemporary front door style is usually very simple, often without decorative glass. The look is all about clean, modern lines. A contemporary front door will often use tongue-and-groove boarding, which is an old technique, but the boards are run horizontally within the framework to give it a fresh, contemporary look.

Garages weren't a typical part of home construction until the 1930s, when semi-detached houses began to be built. Unlike the Victorian terraces, these homes had more space around them, allowing for garages to be built, in line with the growing craze for motor cars. We can design garage doors to suit houses of all time periods - including mews houses, where the entrances would once have been designed to admit horses and carriages. If you would like a garage door to be designed to remain in keeping with your front door, we can achieve this.

When creating an internal door for your home, we apply the same expert craftsmanship and eye for precision as we do for all our doors. Your new internal door will be completely bespoke and beautifully made. If you would like a traditional interior door to fit the period of your home, we have a wide range of traditional mouldings that you can choose from. You can choose to have your door installed fully-painted, or alternatively we can prime it ready for final decoration.

Some of our customers ask us to make windows too - which we are delighted to do. We put the same effort and skill into making wooden windows as we do into making a bespoke door. Every window is handcrafted from the best timber with a superb design, excelling in draught-proofing, security and warmth. While there are lots of people making mass-produced redwood (softwood) windows, Cotswood windows are truly bespoke and are typically made from top performance timber - Accoya. At the design and survey stage, we normally look at windows separately to doors.

Glazed interior doors are a popular choice due to the light and spacious feel they give to your home. Your glazed doors can have multiple panes of glass in a Georgian style, or you might choose to have one large piece of glass to let as much light through as possible. Just as with an external door, you can opt for plain, textured, etched or leaded glass in your internal door, giving you a wealth of design options. In certain situations - for example, where a home has a loft conversion - it is often a building control requirement to have fire doors installed.

At Cotswood, we understand that finishing touches can elevate a door from beautiful to extraordinary. We have a wide choice of exquisite door furniture for you to select from, designed to complement the colour and style of your new door. The door furniture we provide includes handles, letterplates, numbers, knobs and knockers. You will be able to choose between a variety of finishes, ranging from antique bronze to polished chrome. We are particularly proud of our British-made, artisan range of door furniture, which is of an exceptional quality.

We can make wooden gates to fit any wall or fence. Usually made from strong tongue and groove sheeting, your new gate will be stable and smart, giving you secure access to and from your back garden or passageway.

The glass in your new Cotswood door or window will be just as beautiful, strong and secure as your door itself. We use toughened or laminated glass for strength, and press the panes as double-glazed units wherever possible. Your new glass will look stunning and be high-performing, too. In most cases, the glass we install is safety glass (toughened or laminated) which has been pressed as a thermally efficient double-glazed unit. The external pane of the unit is decorative, while the internal pane is a special type of clear glass that is excellent for insulation.

Our carpenters combine classic, stunning door shapes with the very latest developments in security and insulation technology. We are so confident in the high performance of our designs that we offer a 12-year guarantee for hand-sprayed Accoya doors. Why not take advantage of one of our free design surveys? You will receive a personal consultation in your home with one of Cotswood's skilled surveyors. They can guide you through the creation of a door that is both high-performing and beautiful, as well as utterly bespoke to you.

Even such an excellent product is only as good as how it's hung. Dave did an excellent job; he's a first-class carpenter with a very good eye for what looks good subjectively - he's painstakingly precise. I can recommend Cotswood with total confidence. All of our doors are crafted to the highest quality, but our responsibility to you, our customer, does not end there. We take the installation of our doors very seriously - after all, you can have the most beautiful-looking door in the world, but if it doesn't fit properly then it isn't a success!

Room dividers are ideal for a large interior space, giving you the flexibility to divide the area up into two rooms or open it out into one spacious room. Your room divider will be tailored exactly to your needs. A four-door room divider will give you the option of opening just the two central doors to create an entryway between two areas, or of folding back all four doors to open the room up into one large space. An internal bi-fold divider will run the doors along a track, meaning that they will all fold away to one side to open the room fully.

At Cotswood, we've been working on our door design for more than forty years. Our carpenters combine classic, stunning door shapes with the very latest developments in security and insulation technology. Whether you are after a traditional Georgian front door or a striking 1930s front door, you can be certain that we will get the proportions and detailing exactly right. Your new Cotswood door will look period-perfect. Not only will your door look superb, it will be secure too. Our product design is based upon strong wedged mortise and tenon joints.

We know that door security is a top priority for our customers, so we make sure it's our top priority too. A Cotswood door is a secure door. We always install locks in exactly the right positions to maximise your security. Your new front door can be installed with a range of traditional locks, all of which are insurance-approved. If you are having a new doorframe as well, you can opt for an extra-secure multi-point lock that looks just like a traditional lock. You can also have further bolts added to your door, as well as security chains and spy holes.
