Bruce is renown worldwide for his many prestigious Mackintosh commissions such as: The House for an Art Lover, The Glasgow School of Art, Mackintosh at the Willow Tearooms and the Charles Rennie Mackintosh Society. He as also proud to have worked with Paisley Abbey, Cannongate Kirk (Edinburgh) and The University of the West of Scotland, to provide a number of ceremonial installations. He continues to supply high quality handmade furniture to Charles Rennie Mackintosh and Arts & Crafts enthusiasts, grand ceremonial pieces for public buildings, sculptural furniture for public spaces and pieces for clients who have been searching for something unique or special.

Bruce is the third generation of his family to work in the timber trade and he has almost forty years' experience in the furniture industry. Serving his apprenticeship as a chair maker, Bruce was presented the award of top student in his final year at college. He then went on to work for various companies, gaining sound knowledge of all aspects of furniture construction. In the autumn of 1990, the company Bruce was working for ceased trading, which gave him the opportunity to realise his long-held ambition: to set up his own business.

Directors Room Chair Mackintosh designed this chair for Walter Blackie. The original Ladder Back chairs can still be seen in their original setting in the main bedroom of the Hill House, Helensburgh. Much like the original pieces these reproduction Ladderback chairs are very fine and are recommended only as ornamental additions to a room setting. Private Commission Chairs This furniture is shown in situ in a client's house in Washington, USA. The room shows a Charles Rennie Mackintosh Hill House Hall Table and Charles Rennie Mackintosh Hill House Hall Chair.

Bruce and his team are fabulous craftsmen . Commissioned the iconic Argyle chair reproduction was absolutely thrilled , will definitely purchase again.

Bruce is a real craftsman who takes note of what his customers want, whilst providing guidance and advice on technical / historical aspects of CRM's designs. We've commissioned several pieces over the past 18 years since first meeting him, all of which we are thoroughly pleased with.

Bruce made our Ingram dining suite almost 17 years ago, we added 2 chairs and a bespoke serving/extension table 3 years ago. Both commissions were beautifully crafted by him. I am proud to tell people who produced our furniture, it makes me smile every time I look at it and use it.
