Deemount Design was established in 2017 by Eric Digweed after successfully running Hab Design for over 12 years. Eric has worked in Architecture in Aberdeen and the Highlands for more than 25 years, working in both private practice and local authority on numerous different types and scale of projects. We offer a wide range of architectural and interior design services, for residential, commercial and retail developments. Although we are based in Aberdeen we currently have projects in Nairn and around the North East of Scotland and would consider working on projects throughout Scotland.
Deemount Design can offer a wide range of architectural services, from minor internal alterations and extensions for private clients through to large-scale housing developments for house builders, as well as commercial and retail developments. We have extensive experience in housing and have designed many one-off bespoke houses, apartments, change of use and conversions, we have also worked sympathetically on many listed and historic buildings. We are able to guide you through the whole process from initial sketch designs which we will produce to show you the options for your project, to submitting and dealing with planning and building warrant applications for you.
Eric Digweed has been interested in Interior Design for many years beginning with decorating his own properties on limited budgets and then obtaining a Diploma (merit) in Interior Design in 1997. Way back in 1998 Eric's own flat was featured in BBC Good Homes Magazine. We have since carried out the full Interior Design of several luxury show houses, flats and commercial properties. Most recently we completed a new build Restaurant in Nairn, as well as the design and architectural work we carried out the interior design.
Eric has been wonderful and very professional with his services. He understood our requirements well and was very proactive in designing and getting the building warrant approval. We are delighted with his services and would highly recommend to any one who is looking for a local architect in.
