CVD can offer you a fully comprehensive, fully documented, Passive Fire Protection (PFP) survey, in line with LPCBLPS 1531 standard. This survey will identifying breaches in your buildings essential fire compartmentalisation and can form part of your fire risk assessment. Over the lifespan of a building, changes are inevitable and regular assessments and maintenance are necessary to ensure the welfare of the occupants and the Fire Safety of the building. These changes are not always obvious as PFP is often hidden within cavities, risers, ceilings, loft voids etc. Fire safety saves lives and CVD can support you with this.

Passive Fire Protection is one of the methods that is used to protect a structure from a fire. Unlike Active Fire Protection methods, like Fire Extinguishers and Fire Blankets, Passive Fire Protection methods are set up to compartmentalise the overall building through fire-resistant walls, floors and materials that fill any gaps. Our expertise and experience in providing Fire Protection services and materials for numerous clients and contracts set us apart from our competitors. We provide a wide range of Firestopping Options for every construction application, whether temporary or permanent.

To help clients comply with building regulations, CVD Fire Protection offer an Airtightness Sealing and Testing Service. What we measure is the resistance of the building envelope to inward or outward air leakage. Air leakage is caused by differential pressures across the building envelope and our team identify the root of the cause before proceeding to sealing phase. The energy use within buildings accounts for approximately half of all UK Co2 emissions. Two major factors in the design and performance of building fabric which affects energy consumption are air leakage and continuity of insulation.
