Lacunas products are made to last 50 years or more. Lacuna uses exclusively long-lasting FSC-certified wood in our production and were the first Danish window-maker to be FSC-certified in Denmark. DynaFit is a family run business which started with replacement windows in Edinburgh in 2007. After one year we became certified installers for Internorm Windows, one of the European market leaders for Timber-Aluminium windows.

DynaFit is a family run business and has been established in January 2007 starting with replacement windows in Edinburgh. After one year we became certified installers for Internorm Windows, one of the European market leaders for uPVC and Timber-Aluminium windows. We installed many Passive House projects all over the UK from as far south as Dover or Southampton, Wales, all over Scotland up north to the Isle of Skye, Thurso and the Orkneys. After more training we are now also certified installers for Katzbeck, another Austrian manufacturer of top quality Timber-Aluminium windows as well as Solarlux a German manufacturer of winter gardens and conservatories.

Our products are made to last 50 years or more. Lacuna uses exclusively long-lasting FSC-certified wood in our production and were the first Danish window-maker to be FSC-certified in Denmark. In the long run the lowest price is for the longest lasting product. We consider Danish design, German quality and minimal energy consumption as quite natural because Lacuna products made today will also be energy-friendly in 10 or 20 years compared to other window products. Wether you choose heat-treated painted beech or oiled mahogany - Lacuna only uses sustainable wood.

Hi-tech windows allow a lot of light and warmth into your home, thereby letting very little heating energy escape. The ideal characteristic of a good window is reflected by excellent technological light and emission values. Top-of-the-line glazing captures a large part of the heat radiation produced by a heating system, at the same time allowing large amounts of sunlight into the living space. Hereby, free energy from the sun acts as an "additional heater" further decreasing heating expenses. The better the heat insulation of insulation glazing is, the higher the surface temperature on the inside of the window will be.

Double-glazed windows have two sheets of glass with a gap between them, usually about 16mm, to create an insulating barrier that keeps heat in.
