GardenLife is a UK based and registered company specialising in the sale of log cabins and other timber products. We are part of the Lemeks group of companies based in Estonia which was founded in 1993. Since then the group has experienced rapid growth and is now one of the largest forest industry enterprises in Estonia. Operating successfully in both timber processing and forest harvesting the Lemeks group of companies now include twenty two subsidiaries and employs over 600 people. Group turnover has increased from around 3m euros in 1995 to 79 million euros in 2010.

With light coming in on three sides, the Claudia (7.4 sqm) garden room makes a wonderful hobby studio. With 320cm x 240cm of interior space, there is room for plenteous easels, work tables and storage cupboards, as well as space to step back and admire your work. The proportions and airiness also make this compact clockhouse garden room a wonderful place to boost your physical wellbeing. You could point an exercise bike in any direction to admire the view, or meditate or do yoga at any time of day.

This traditional large two room timber shed comes in this large version as well as a smaller version, helping to cater for your budget, garden size, and the amount of storage space you need. Both versions have two rooms. So one section could be a workspace to potter around in - whether you want to restore an old motorbike or take up a hobby such as upholstery. And the other section could store all your garden furniture or junk. Practicality is all when it comes to this traditional large two room timber shed.

Thinking of buying a garden gazebo in the UK? If you live somewhere windy, where rain regularly comes at you diagonally, a wooden garden gazebo may not be for you. But if you live anywhere else, it could be your ideal solution for garden living. They also offer a degree of privacy, without you having to go the whole hog and buy a summer house. That's why gazebos are so popular for garden hot tubs and barbecues. But we're getting ahead of ourselves here. First, let's go back to basics and say what they actually are.

This compact corner summer house is available in two models which only have one difference; one is 2.8m high and the other is 2.5m high (which could be handy if your local planning laws require garden buildings to be no more than 2.5m in height). Either model of this compact corner summer house would be the ideal place to relax and unwind. It won't take up too much of your garden, but it will make your garden a more pleasant place to spend time. Whether that's taking a siesta out of the wind, doing a sudoku or crossword, or sharing cupcakes and gossip with a friend.

Despite our extensive variety of timber building designs, GardenLife accept there are instances when only a truly bespoke garden building will fit the bill (such as the examples below). We are therefore happy to plan and build timber buildings using bespoke designs, and we can provide a free no-obligation quote for individual requirements; just check the details below. To provide you with a free no-obligation quote for a bespoke garden building we need a rough floor plan detailing the size of the required structure.

For a warm, sturdy, durable garden building, you need the right type of wood. There are plenty of log cabins, garden rooms and timber summer houses on the market, but there's wide variation in the quality of timber that different manufacturers use. Generally, a slow-growing tree produces denser wood than a tree that grows quickly - even if they're the same variety. So, when choosing a timber building, it's best to look for timber grown in cold climates. It's why GardenLife use Nordic timber - the long, cold winters and short summers slow down the growth of the trees, making the timber denser and stronger than faster-growing wood from southern Europe or the UK.

Below is a quick guide to help you decide which timber wall thickness would work best for your summer house, garden room or log cabin. In most of our timber garden building ranges - from summer houses to workshops to garden offices - we offer a choice of timber thicknesses, helping you get the best balance between price and insulation (and if you see a timber building that you like but would prefer a custom wall thickness, that's not a problem either with our heavy duty 70mm range and our bespoke garden building design service).

GardenLife summer houses, log cabins, pavilions and garden rooms can really enhance the design of a garden, not to mention provide another room to expand into. Whether you need a place to work, excercise, relax or enjoy a hobby, a real wood garden building could be the perfect solution. With a little thought, inspiration and careful planning, you can also use your summer house to dramatically change the look and feel of your garden by adding character, height, colour and texture, as well as creating a lovely private haven.
