Founded by Colin Cassidy in 1999, our family owned tool hire business has over two decades of experience providing equipment throughout the Edinburgh, Lothians and Borders. Colin, an all-round handyman with an enterprising mindset, decided to put his deep reserve of tools and equipment out to hire. Originally based out of a building he had constructed himself initially intended as a sawmill, Basically Tool Hire was born. We have since developed into one of the Edinburgh, Lothians and Borders premier family owned tool hire businesses.
