The client, an overseas based architect, asked Johnstones to renovate and refurbish this dilapidated five bedroom property in central St Albans. The brief was to revive the house in a contemporary style on a budget of £30,000 in order to attract a high rental income. After stripping out the outdated features the work began in earnest. A downstairs wall was demolished in order to create a spacious kitchen/diner and a modern kitchen installed.
