We began with a very run down two bedroom bungalow that was in need of a complete renovation. As well as refurbishment, we added a large extension to the side and another extension to the back, greatly enhancing the size and flow of the property. Nearly every internal wall was demolished to make way for the new layout. The original roof was completely stripped off and RSJ's were fitted to accommodate the new dormer and the new layout over the two floors. The suspended floor was ripped out internally to make way for a new fully insulated concrete slab.

Many new homes come with integral (adjoining) or independent garages that often become dumping grounds for bikes, storage, etc. These spaces can provide valuable additional square footage for a lower cost as the structure is in place. As with all building work it is vitally important that all of the building work conforms to current building regulations and is inspected at key stages. On this project we had a number of building and engineering challenges to turn a conventional garage into a minimalist extension with a curtain wall, bi-folding doors and dramatic mezzanine office.

This project at Collingtree Park was a complete refurbishment. The house hadn't been touched since it had been built and was in need of a rewire, new heating, new windows, external facia and soffits, new bathrooms, new kitchen, new stairs, a complete redecoration and new flooring throughout. The old UPVC windows were stripped out and dual colour Residence 9 windows (U-value 1.2) were fitted in place. The old timber facias and soffits were replaced with black UPVC to match the windows, giving you zero future maintenance.

Homes featuring exterior brickwork and stonework convey a rich sense of tradition and harmony with their Northamptonshire and nearby Bedfordshire surroundings. Both brick and stone are compatible with today's need for energy efficiency, and their durability make them lower maintenance than most other materials. We're extremely proud of the style and quality we can achieve and our ability to blend new and old. We recently completed a new build stone house at Greens Norton in Northamptonshire on a working farm. From the outset, there was a lot of attention by the planners to ensure the building would fit its rural surroundings while still meeting the needs of the family. We used our extensive knowledge of local stone and pointing techniques to prepare test panels for both the client and the planners, which they used in choosing a finished look. The project was managed by us from groundworks to completion.
