Post 3 of the buzzard release story. After we managed to extricate the buzzard from its trammels, we gave him a good physical inspection. He was in high condition (fat) indicating that he had fortunately not been stuck for too long. No swelling anywhere, no significant wounds, clear eyes and mouth, .
We were never going to be able to untangle the buzzard from its unintentional shackles so the only option was to cut it out of the net, and work to untangle its foot once released from the suspended net.
