Moss and lichen tends to flourish in rural areas or where trees are nearby and where there are shady, damp conditions. Steeper pitched roofs are less likely to support moss and lichen growth as they shed water more quickly than low pitched roofs.

The difference de-mossing makes is amazing
Simple yet effective repair. Mortar and cracked away from the tiles, the people has had a couple of dodgy repairs done in mastic which would never last! Simply solved, ridge off lead saddle which should of been there in the first place then bed the ridge back on, problem solved
Re-bedded the hips and ridges on this old house, the only thing holding them on were the hip irons, the mortar had basically disappeared over the years
