BEAR Scotland is responsible for managing and maintaining some of the country's most important roads. We look after over 2,500km of trunk road and over 2,750 structures and bridges, making sure the carriageways are safe and sound. We also take care of grass cutting and weed control, road lighting and traffic signal maintenance, street drains and road signs, and, in the winter, carry out snow ploughing and salt spreading with our fleet of over 100 winter gritters. Safety is at the heart of everything we do and guides every aspect of our work.
