I'm Joy Grey, a Scottish garden designer and consultant. I trained at the Royal Botanic Garden in Edinburgh and then studied for a diploma in Garden Design through the Pickard School of Garden Design which was achieved with distinction. I deliver functional gardens of all sizes with a strong sense of place allowing them to sit comfortably in their surroundings. I offer a highly personal service and create gardens which are designed to fulfil each client's individual brief and style.
Joy is a farmer's daughter from the Scottish Borders with an honours degree in Agriculture, initial training in Garden Design at the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh and a Diploma (with distinction) in Garden Design through the Pickard School of Garden Design. Joy is a professional who brings a high level of expertise to each project and is well-versed in working with other professionals including architects, interior designers and planning consultants. Working with carefully selected landscape contractors, suppliers of high quality materials and craftsmen allows us to leverage the knowledge of other experts to deliver high quality, bespoke gardens tailored to each individual client's needs and budget.
This contemporary Gullane garden finally came together today. It has a gas fire pit for Covid-19 friendly entertaining, a soothing water feature and atmospheric lighting to allow enjoyment of the garden from the house through the uncertain winter months that lie ahead.
