Asbestos removal and disposal is a high-risk business and must be managed carefully by specialists to minimise the risks to the environment and people. We work closely with the HSE to ensure the works we undertake are done so in line with current HSE legislations and guidance notes, ACoPs and the recommendations of ARCA and UKATA. From commissioning full asbestos surveys, removal of licenced and non-licenced asbestos, designing and developing safe methods of removal, PP O'Connor provides an effective and efficient asbestos removal service bespoke to our client's needs.

Environmental sustainability and responsibility is a core value at PP O'Connor. Through careful planning and robust Site Waste Management Plans, we actively minimise the amount of waste that goes to landfill by maximising the amount of materials that can be reclaimed and recycled. PP O'Connor has invested in the future and owns and operates recycling facilities throughout the north of England. We can confidently say we recycle at least 95% of materials during both our demolition and bulk earthwork operations.

Through the increasing demands of our clients, PP O'Connor has developed a civil engineering division, which has rapidly grown, now being at the forefront of our on-site activities. We provide enabling services to get your site ready for construction. From site establishment and preparation to designing and creating haul roads and access routes, PP O'Connor can provide all your enabling requirements. We work with our clients during the pre-construction stage to deliver cost effective solutions resulting in a prepared site, ready to use for the next stage of development.

We have a great deal of experience of carrying out demolition works to residential properties. To consolidate the Club's property portfolio and prepare the area for future Stadium development plans, PP O'Connor was appointed to safely deconstruct and remove various buildings on three different sites. Anfield Road - demolition of 11 derelict semi-detached properties with the roof slates being carefully removed by hand and stored for later use by the client and two blocks of 3-storey flats. Waltron Breck Road - demolition of a row of terraced properties within extremely close proximity to the entrance to Centenary Car Park, used daily by the Club and visitors.

In 1990, with just two wagons, Peter formed PP O'Connor Limited and has built the company into the successful business it is today. He is a forward-thinking leader with hands-on experience of all PP O'Connor's capabilities with the operational knowledge to deliver a high quality service with value for money for our clients. He has recently completed his two year term as Chairman for the National Federation of Demolition Contractors' North West region.
