Expert knowledge, gained through trading in wooden panel products, timber components and doors for practically 50 years, is the foundation of our business. We maintain a strong ethical tradition, meaning that we will always attempt to do what is right and not what is expedient at the time. Our policy - applied for more than 20 years, is to deal with a carefully selected range of manufacturers with proper financial backgrounds and managements who are prepared to work to our quality standards. Personal relationships and trust ensure that the quality standards are maintained and that, if by chance any defect is found, the problem will be rectified without quibble and procedures examined to see if any improvement would eliminate or reduce the risk of a repeat.

Svedex doors are supplied in combination with a matching frame. Both door and frame are lacquered and ready to use. Installation is easy as we include pre-mounted ironmongery and our frames are supplied with an assembly kit for installation. Important to know, is that both frame and door have the same finish, so there will be no colour differences over time. The door kits are made to measure (bespoke sizes) in our factory, so we offer a solution for almost any current dimension up to 2400mm high, also for double door situations.

Svedex offers a variety of sliding door systems. Besides pocket doors and 'in front of the wall' solutions with their regular frames, we also have the Move systems are available, offering more style options. Sliding doors are possible in both single and double door systems.

Mendes Bespoke is a one-stop service for all your door requirements. With our trusted custom factories in the Far East, Spain and the UK, doors can be created to your design and finished to your exact specification. With your ideas and our experience, we can create something special for your project. Have you seen a door from our extensive range you like, but need a different size, finish or material? We can help, simply tell us the details. If you've found a style you like elsewhere, that you require customizing, we can often source this for you.

Uneven expansion or contraction of component parts within a timber product is the most common reason for it to 'fail' or not perform satisfactorily. These movements are caused by a change in moisture level within the product and to protect against this, the timber must be fully sealed before installation as detailed in the finishing sections below. Our engineered external timber products must be protected from direct sun and rain. This is achieved by a porch, canopy or recess of ideally 1.5 metres.

Berkvens HPL doors are available in a wide range of colours, structures and designs. Berkvens also collaborates with leading suppliers such as: Formica, Duropal and Polyrey, among others. An overview of the range of colours is listed below. Because colour and design are inextricably linked, our multi-coloured EPICEdge concept can also be produced in virtually any colour. At Berkvens, we believe that every door deserves its own colour. Why should it be any different with the edge finishing? It can be a contrasting or complementary colour to the HPL.
